This isn’t a story it’s a testimonial. Better yet, it’s a testament to a subject I’m very passionate about… fishing. My name is Dave Workman and I own a Donzi 32 ZF that I religiously fish in the Southern Kingfish Association. It’s home to one of the largest groups of competitive fishermen and it awards some of the largest purses of any fishing circuit. The key to winning is getting out to the fishing grounds fast, fishing as long as possible and then racing back in time for the weigh-in. There’s only one boat line I trust to deliver the speed, performance and fishability required to keep the odds of winning in my favor…Donzi ZFs. Perhaps that’s why anglers fishing in Donzis have won the SKA’s Top Angler of the Year and the National Championships 3 of the last 4 years.
The Donzi 32 ZF is a hi-performance fishing machine that’s become an icon in the modern fishing world. It’s a boat whose sole focus is on the needs of today’s fisherman, combining 360° functionality with lightning speed performance. In fact, a team of world-class anglers worked closely with Donzi’s engineers to design-in the most sought after fishing features and details. For instance, the transom bait station houses a pre-molded holder for your bait net, right at hand to effectively retrieve bait. Optional downrigger mounts are seated aft of the gunnel mounted rod holders and the t-top mounted outriggers give you the freedom to maneuver the toughest catch all around the boat.
The bow rail is integrated flush against the gunnel keeping this area clear of obstructions while maintaining functionality. The angle of the bow wall has been eliminated to favor a vertical wall with recessed toe kick, allowing for true stand-up fishing techniques at the bow - something usually reserved for the cockpit. Within the large center console is an enclosed head, and the helm is hinged for easy access behind the instrument panel. The helm also features a built-in electronics box, Mercury SmartCraft gauges and an all-new hi -performance steering wheel.
Other professional features include: molded transom with transom door; 2 foam insulated in-deck fishboxes with macerator pump, drop-down helm seat with cooler, 50 gallon livewell with circular walls to protect bait fish, diamond plated non-skid deck, twin forward wet/dry casting deck storage boxes with ‘positive lock’ locking system, an oversized in-deck storage box forward, storage for 8 rods and much more.
